School and Counseling Experience
I have either enrolled in or observed all levels of educational systems from elementary to higher education in both the UK and South Korea. I engaged in firsthand opportunities while at university in England to expand my knowledge of the British educational system, such as working as a placement teacher and a special activity teacher. I then worked at a university in Korea as a research assistant and counselor. Furthermore, I acquired additional experience in U.S. schools as an SEL assessor and interacted with students as a counselor.
These experiences in teaching, counseling, attending schools, and working with children have given me knowledge about educational systems in the UK, South Korea, and the U.S., in addition to a unique cross-cultural perspective on schooling. Moreover, I have obtained a handful of skills in communicating with children, from pre-schoolers to high schoolers.
This page summarizes the experience I acquired in the UK, South Korea, and the U.S. besides that as a student.
